The Primecore Story

In 2009 founder and President Cormac Callaghan noted how pharmaceutical companies, both large and small were struggling to deliver their business objectives effectively in line with the business need dates.

The industry was changing rapidly as: traditional chemical synthesis companies endeavoured to become BioPharma companies; new fast growing Biotechnology companies were being formed and the industry was consolidating through a high number of mergers and acquisitions and in some cases splits.

Some of the challenges faced by our clients included the misalignment between the business needs of the companies and the technical solutions being provided. There was a lack of cohesiveness between the operations teams, the ultimate facility users and the Project Teams charged with delivering operational change. At a company level there was an inability to prioritize and coordinate key personnel resources. Many companies struggled to effectively implement industry best practices in capital Portfolio, Program and Project Management.

These challenges presented Primecore with the opportunity to apply its expertise to assist clients to develop the capability to master these issues.
